This mic solves internal camera noise
I tested the microphone on my Sony HC7. The sound was clear. Even when several massive thick brick walls were between the microphone and the receiver the sound had no dropouts. I live in a 2-story building and went up two stair cases to the other side of the building (about 40 feet away from the camera) and the microphone even then provided flawless recording. The items comes with different attachments for the microphone that will give you flexibility in many recording situations. The frequency response is not the best in the world (so for high quality music recording requiring professional sound equipment there may be better choices, but for any amateur that wants improvement for special recording situations this is an affordable and easy to use item.
