This small lense, especially for it's price, is very good.
It has been mentioned in other reviews that when the lense is fitted the main lense cannot be zoomed satisfactorily.
Quite the contrary. The lense can be zoomed significantly without loss of definition.
However - that was not the purpose of the puchase.
With this lense installed on my Sony HD-HVR1000 I obtain a sufficiently wide view to film inside, real estate walk-through and the like, with very little distortion.
