This was an easy install in XP Pro, don't let the TSSTcorp assigned title of the drive confuse you, it a Samsung SH-S222A burner alright. The first thing I did was to burn a DVD disc and see how well it could be read back after the burn. Absolutely no problems with writing and reading, unlike what my Pioneer DVR-107D is like, that burner doesn't like to read a DVD disc that was just burnt by it, go figure. By the way, although I was able to use this Samsung burner to burn a DVD disc with no problems or changing any settings, I did have to turn on its CD-ROM disc burning capabilities under its properties listing in order to burn material to a CD-ROM disc.
