Better build quality than I expected
Quality without the huge price tag.
After absorbing the myriad negative reviews of this lens, I ventured out to buy two for my Canon HG20s. The results have been positive thus far, and the comments about vignetting and sloppy focus don't seem to apply to my camera. However, they may apply to other cameras. Good news for owners of Canon cameras.
I'm now able to capture my entire orchestra without moving the cameras to the back of the room. If you own Canon products, this lens will work well. For other cameras, I cannot say.
