I bought one in 2005 and a second in 2007, both of which still work flawlessly. Since they have since been discontinued I'll not write a full review. However, it is worth noting that in the current market these cameras have no replacement. There simply is no High Definiton Equivalent of what these cameras were in the SD world. Either you get a lower end barely pro-sumer camera or you pay A LOT more and get a pro camera like the HPX370.
I actually prefered the DVC60 over the famed AG DVX100B which I also own even though they had smaller sensors, no 24P, no manual ND, and no phantom power. The footage matched in 60i mode so close to the DVX100 that you couldn't tell them apart unless in extreme lighting conditions, the DVC60 looked like a $10,000 camera, never ceased to wow clients, had a "film look" mode that created footage that looked wonderful, a zoom focus button that should be on every camera but isn't, and a 16X zoom lense that ramped up and down so feather smooth like a MUCH more expensive camera (the DVX can't do that). As of the close of 2011 and the beginning of 2012 the closest cameras to this would arguably be the AG AC130 and AC160, but neither of which are offered in a full size shoulder mount form factor like this (even though they are so large they could have been made shoulder mount).
Anyway if you need a good SD DV camera and don't need 24P this thing is still a good camera. And if you are with Panasonic and happen to read this, bring this option back to the market where there is now sadly a void - a prosumer shoulder mount varient. Think AC160 in shoulder mount form or maybe HPX250 in shoulder mount for about the same price.
