I have owned Panasonic gear for over ten years, and am a fan of their AG line of products. I purchased a used AG-DVC30 used, about a year ago, and love it so much, that I bought a second one. It's rugged, well made, and has features akin to pro 3-chip DV-Cams costing much more. I wish that the on-board mic were placed away from the body, but I always use an external mic when sound quality matters. The colors are great, and this DV-cam works well in clubs and theaters due to its robust CCDs and high quality lens. A great DV-Cam for teaching on, capturing weddings, and live events. I recommend getting the companion Panasonic AG-MYA30G XLR input adapter, or using a shock mount if using a mic with a miniplug.
