This package is an excellent upgrade for the V-8000HD monitor. All of the openings are custom cut allowing you to add the included accessories and the monitor, shoe mount, and AC power supply that shipped with the original monitor. The included L-Series type battery is an excellent addition to your on-camera monitor, though it does make the monitor quite heavy (be careful if you are planning to mount using a separate arm as the combined weight of the monitor, battery and mounting arm may strain your shoe mount.) It would be nice if there was an extra area of the kit that allowed you to store the video cord with the monitor. I use this for focus adjustment on my Sony HVR-HD1000U.
