Very Good Lens in all aspects!

Nice Converter
Good accessary, but heavy!
The item is built out of good quality glass and the housing is made of metall and feels really solid.
The lens gets screwed onto the camcorder filter mount and fits very well to my Canon HF10.
The Good things:
- very high picture quality. Very sharp and no strong distortions. Very good for landscape or in house shooting for more viewangle.
- nothing needed to adjust at the camcorder, just screw on and use.
- comes with two lids and a nice leather bag to store it if not needed.
- tha camcorder looks much more professional with so much glass in the front, but that is a minor plus! :o)
The not so good things (or problems by design):
- Keep it clean, otherwise the camcorder tries to focus on the dirt!
- Some noticeable aberration at the high tele zoom end (12x here), but not bad in most situations. But there is no comparable lens out there doing a better job here!
- Covers the built in light of my HF10, so it is not usable for this purpose and an external light is needed. I shoot outside scenes at natural light, so no big deal for me.
- could be too big for someone, no big deal for me, the camcorder is carryable much better with it and fits snuggly into my hand between the shots.
