I bought this product for a small consumer camcorder because the on-board mic on most camcorders sound lame when the subject is more than a few feet away. This little, inexpensive lav mic worked perfectly! You can't beat the price, and you just plug it in to the mini-jack (but first make sure your camera has an audio-in mini-jack, not all of them do) add a battery, turn it on, and you have clear audio for interviews, plus a 20' cable. A bargain at twice the price. I recommend buying a few extra batteries at the same time, just in case.
