I bought this light for the boilerfurnace room. The light was simple and provided sufficient lighting for the room. Surprisingly, the product looked much better in person. Would definitely purchase this again.
This is an excellent two-light fixture, really not significantly larger than the many one-light fixtures that cost about the same. Very significantly there is room within the globe for two CFLs, which is frequently not the case with similar lights. The "stone" finish on the base is a flat bronzy color which should work almost anywhere. I gave only four stars instead of five for two reasons: first, the dome doesn't fit quite snuggly into the base and because of this there is a little light leakage through this area to reveal that it's not a really high-end fixture (most people probably won't notice), and second, the installation hardware includes a electrical box bracket that is threaded to accept a center nipple, but no nipple is supplied - instead two screws that if used would require the always frustrating process of trying to align two keyhole slots with the screw heads simultaneously while keeping wires tucked in and working overhead. Fortunately I had the required center nipples so that I could use that much simpler installation method. It seems that the Maxim could spend a few cents more per unit and supply both kinds of hardware for user convenience.
