I used this to replace another ceiling fixture in my hallway. My main criteria was that it complement 2ceiling fansin adjoining rooms. The electrician just installed it and I am very happy with it! My only caution is that anyone purchasing it should plan to buy the fluorescent bulb since the description wasn't clear about whether or not one is included. (It isn't.)
